For some, the possibility of time travel is something you only see in science fiction movies.
UNICEF has finally made time travel possible... with a new hyper-interactive art installation that will be on display at the United Nations (UN) headquarters in New York during the UN General Assembly.

This 'Time Machineâ? is made with the intent to remind world leaders of the gaps that exist in childrenâ??s data. This unavailability of data impacts the ability to hold policy makers accountable. Pope Francis has also spoken out in regards to the type of damaged this indifference makes on society as a whole.

'Indifference. Human indifference hurts those in most need! And worse even, is that from Christians. On the margins of society, there are many men and women worn down by poverty, but also by dissatisfaction and frustration in life. So many are forced to emigrate from their homeland, risking their own lives. Many others, every day bear the burden of an economic system that exploits man, imposes an unbearable yoke, which the privileged few prefer not to carry.â?
The Time Machine showcases data storytelling to pin-point what statistics on children are currently available and what is not. Once the user enters the amorphous metal structure, the machine asks the user a series of questions. Afterwards, data will be displayed through art by translating childhood memories based on sound.

A recent study from the UN says that there is not enough information, particularly those related to child-related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This unique and introspective exhibition will be open to the public at the Visitors Lobby at the UN Headquarters from September 14-30.
