ARCH. DAVID MOXON
Director, Anglican Centre in Rome
'This is a very important year for the Anglican Centre in Rome because we represent the Archbishop of Canterbury to the Vatican. Flash He's also coming for the 50th anniversary of the Anglican Centre in Rome in early October.â?
The Anglican Centre is like an embassy to the Vatican on behalf of the Anglican community. It serves as both an educational and collaborative center. In fact, the Centre is closely aligned with the Pontifical Council for the Permission of Christian Unity.
FR. JOHN HONRBLOW
Anglican Priest
'Archbishop David had a dream of up-scaling and enhancing the leadership abilities of Anglican leaders, young and older, men and women, bishops and lay here in Rome. We are really at the cutting edge of being able to take the Church leadership forward so they can lead in the twenty-first century in a new way.â?
The Anglican Centre has kept busy lately as it recently hosted an international leadership course with participants from the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Nigeria and Myanmar. The course is spearheaded by Fr. John Hornblow and Dr. Jenny Boyack.

'This is a time when Christian's need to link arms. We need to act on solidarity against global evils like trafficking and slavery, poverty, the effects of climate change, the effects of civil war and famine. We need to be on the development and mission together like Caritas International and the Anglican Alliance because mission should drive ecumenism.â?
The Archbishop of Canterbury and Pope Francis are expected to meet for a service that will combine elements of Anglican Evensong and Catholic Vespers at the Basilica of San Gregorio from October 4-6. While there, they will both meet with other Catholic and Anglican bishops, to partner in mission and as they sign a Joint Declaration.
