Some 150 million Christians worldwide suffer from persecution or discrimination by simply professing their faith in Jesus Christ. Some of their stories are collected in this book, 'I also persecute you: Christians bare witness in the world.

The book tells the story of the daily suffering endured by those who refuse to abandon their faith, face death threats and are treated like second-class citizens. In addition, in Pakistan the anti-blasphemy laws are used as a tool for revenge, Christians must succumb many other abuses.

MSGR. JOSEPH COUTTS
Archbishop of Karachi, Pakistan
'Non-Muslims are not considered equal citizens among the rest. They face discrimination in many ways, especially when it comes to getting a job or promotion. In addition, in schools, the textbooks do not prepare children to live in a modern-day
society, full of multi-religious and multi-ethnic people. Non- Muslims are described in a negative way in these books.

Unfortunately, these forms of discrimination against Christians is not exclusive to Pakistan. It is a sentiment that travels around the globe. Most stories never make it to the cover of any newspaper.

'Discriminatory practices range from the most outrageous to very subtle. In Sudan, for example, Christian women also are subjected to a strict Islamic dress code. If they consider that your skirt is too short or you wear pants, you can be sentenced to 20, 30 or 40 lashes.

Ironically, the Middle East is the cradle of Christianity and is also the place where the most atrocious persecutions against Christians takes place. The book also focuses on the suffering of those who are subjected to a radical Islam, even before the arrival of Daesh.

'In Iraq, there was talk of democracy and freedom. And we are free a hundred percent of the time. Free to steal, to kill, to destroy, to transform churches into mosques, into military barracks, or into places were women get abused. There is also freedom to create a new state that has existed now for more than two years, an official Islamic state; freedom to force others to change their religious beliefs.

In these places where the Daesh sows terror. One of the key contributors in helping Christians is to gain international recognition against the genocide of minorities. These actions will serve to raise awareness and also help victims receive faster and more effective aid. Initiatives like this book contribute to this cause and serves as a voice to those who have been stripped of everything by not renouncing their faith.
