Pope Francis visited the European Society of Cardiology Congress (ESC), the largest scientific summit on cardiovascular medicine in Europe. His words were nothing less than heartfelt.

POPE FRANCIS
'You look after the heart. And how much symbolism is enshrined in this word! How many hopes are contained in this human organ! In your hands you hold the beating core of the human body, and as such your responsibility is very great! I am sure that as you find yourselves before this book of life with its many pages yet to be discovered, you are filled with trepidation and awe.â?

Since the start of his papacy, Pope Francis has certainly opened a lot of doors and hearts as he has displayed the human side of tenderness, kindness, and acts of mercy.

The
the 5-day event is held annually. This year the conference has housed over 65,000 attendees that are focused on finding the latest discoveries and breakthroughs in the fight against heart disease.
