The Vatican remains relatively quiet during the month of August. On Wednesday, Pope Francis will once again meet with thousands of pilgrims in the Paul VI Audience Hall to celebrate the traditional General Audience, starting at 9:30 a.m.
On Sunday, he will preside over the Angelus prayer in the company of thousands of pilgrims from around the world in St. Peter's Square at noon.
Although Pope Francis does not have any new scheduled events for the rest of the week, he is expected to devote his time preparing for important private meetings, like the one he had last week with France's President Francois Hollande.
