'How are you? Should we speak 'Portuñol?â? 'Portuñol, yes, the official language of Mercosur.â? 'My wife is also from Argentina so we practice 'Portuñol' at home.â?

Pope Francis and Jose Graziano da Silva used this language during their cordial meeting. It is a mixture of Spanish and Portuguese. Graziano da Silva is the Director-General of FAO, a UN agency that deals with food and agriculture.

Jose Graziano da Silva shared some of the latest reports from this agency with the Pope.

In return, Pope Francis gave Graziano da Silva his most important documents: Laudato Si ', Amoris Laetitia and Evangelii Gaudium. He also gave him a rosary for his grandchildren.

The FAO headquarters are in Rome. Pope Francis visited in 2014 where he delivered a speech in which he denounced the economic speculation with food.
