The Pope sent a message of support to individuals and Catholic institutions that financially maintain places of worship in the Middle East and the Holy Land.
It was during his meeting with participants of the plenary assembly called the ROACO group, shortly before his thrilling encounter with hundreds of people from the circus world.

'I take this opportunity to show my appreciation and sympathy to all the Franciscans Friars who for centuries guarantee the maintenance of the holy places and shrines. FLASH. I hope that with the generous help of many that the restoration work of the Basilica of the Nativity and Holy Sepulcher can be completed.â?
The Pope thanked those that have allowed his work to be carried on, initiatives such as the Good Friday collection or the collection promoted by the Pope to help victims of war in Ukraine.
The Pope gave them his support to not let the violence, wars and persecutions obscure the evangelizing mission of the Church.
