An intense week begins for Pope Francis with one of the most important events of the Jubilee Year and two canonizations.

Like every week, the Pope will hold Wednesday morning's general audience in St. Peter's Square before thousands of pilgrims.

That same day, the Jubilee of priests and seminarians begins. In the morning, they will celebrate Eucharistic adoration and hold confessions in the three Jubilee churches. Later that afternoon, they will make a pilgrimage to the Holy Door.

On Thursday, the Pope will join the priests for a day of spiritual retreat. He will give three meditations during the day, ;at 10:00 a.m., noon and at 4:00 pm. The day ends at 5:30 p.m. with a Eucharistic celebration.

On Friday, all participants will attend a Papal Mass in St. Peter's Square for the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus at 9:30 a.m.

Saint Peter's will also be filled on Sunday for the canonization of two saints. One is Blessed Stanislaus of Jesus and Mary, who was a seventeenth century priest and the last is Swedish religious sister Blessed Maria Elizabeth Hesselblad who founded the Bridgettine Sisters within the last century.

The week will end after the Mass with the recitation of the Angelus. Other participants will come to Rome for the Jubilee week, including Catholic bands that will gather in the Eternal City for the weekend.
