This is the shocking moment when a boat with 562 people on board completely capsized in the middle of the sea.

At the moment, 30 people have drowned. The Italian Navy is still searching for dozens of people who are missing.

Unstable ships have not stopped arriving full of what the Pope defines as victims of 'forced migration.â? One example was on Monday with 509 people aboard a ship and then this most recent ship with 562 passengers.

Throughout Thursday night, the Italian Coast Guard rescued 117 people from one boat, and started again Friday morning when they rescued 217 passengers from another.

The route through Libya has reopened due to good weather and, above all, because of the closure of the border between Greece and Macedonia. The agreement between the European Union and Turkey has blocked the European route and many people are thrown into the sea from Libya, since the journey is longer.

Human traffickers have strengthened these alternative routes in recent weeks. European governments are far from providing security to those who have to flee war or hunger, but they have left thousands of desperate human beings at the mercy of mafias instead.
