After this significant meeting with Pope Francis, the grand imam of the prestigious Sunni Muslim center of learning at Al-Azhar University, traveled to Paris.

In the City of Lights, he participated in a meeting organized by the Sant'Egidio Community, the Al-Azhar University of Cairo and the Muslim Council of Elders, on how to safeguard peace and combating all forms of violence in the name of religion and work against terror sown by extremists.

Indeed, one of the places that exemplify that terror is this one, the Bataclan concert hall in Paris, where last November 13 jihad terrorists killed 90 people in cold blood, while they were enjoying a rock concert.

The grand imam wanted to pay this tribute to the victims with flowers and a prayer in which he expressed his sorrow for the suffering of the victims and their families and wished for a peaceful coexistence for all.
