The Everitt family, originally from Canada, is taking a nine-month break to travel the world to raise one million dollars for orphaned and abandoned children at SOS Children's Villages.
How are they doing this?
Eleven-year-old Capri Everitt is singing the national anthem in each country they visit: eighty countries and eighty anthems, in 41 languages.
Named after the Italian island of Capri, Everitt marked her 49th country by gracefully singing the Italian national anthem at the momumental Colosseum in Rome.

80 Anthems
'My favorite part has been meeting the kids as the SOS Children's Villages in all of these countries, because it's so amazing to see how kids live around the world and to meet them.â?
While visiting each SOS Children's Village, the Everitt's usually stay there to get to know the people and the children. Then, when Capri sings the local national anthem, she sings with the children she just spent the last couple days getting to know.

'Capri has practiced for so long because she doesn't want to offend people. She wants to do a good job representing the country, so we're always aware of that.â?
Every family member has a role in this project, including 9-year-old Bowen, who has his own video and written blog on their website. They use their talents and passions to raise money for this charity and they hope to inspire others to do the same for a charity of their choice.

They will continue traveling around Europe this summer, until their last stop to sing the Canadian National Anthem on August 26th at a Blue Jays baseball game in Toronto.
