The youngest children had a special role in the papal audience last March. Nearly 4,000 boys came to Rome from the parishes of the Diocese of Milan to complete his profession of faith.

Among them, these 52 young people between 12 and 13 years of age from Concorezzo, a small town in northern Italy where the parish is especially involved with religious education of children after confirmation.

'We woke up very early, at half past five in order to be in the second row. I was thrilled. We were all together to see the Pope. It has been a very exciting, very moving experience.â?

With lots of excitement and a large banner, they hope to capture Pope Francis attention while they are in Rome. But their ultimate goal goes beyond just visiting the Pope. They also visited the Basilica and the tomb of St. Paul, St. Peter and the catacombs.

'We have found the reality of the Church today and we have also run through the history of the Church, to understand that they are the heirs of a great tradition, there have been many before them that have believed and have even given their lives when they were as young as them.

With these experiences, they return to their homes. Meanwhile, Father Stefano has already started planning the pilgrimage for next year, in continuing with a tradition that will reach all generations of the parish.
