The look of sadness in this child is one of the most poignant images of the new video that was launched by the Pope, as he asks for prayers during the month of March.

'The family is one of the most precious asset of humanity, but is it not also the most vulnerable?

The aim is to seek prayers for families. The Pope says that when the family unit is not protected, the difficulties begin and the first casualties are children.

'I want to share with you and with Jesus my intention of the month so that families going through difficult times can receive the necessary support and children can grow up in healthy and   serene environments.â?

Pope Francis began the year doing prayer requests in the form of videos. In January, he asked to pray for interfaith dialogue.

'All we are children of God.

A month later, the Pope appeared in this other video, with a message focused on the care of mother-nature.

'We should care for creation and received it as a gift to be cultivated and protected for future generations.

In April, the Pope will pray for small farmers in the world. As for what Pope Francis will surprise us with in with the next video, that remains to be seen.
