What happens when a night club singer joins a convent? That's the basis for 'Sister Act, the musical that has now been shown in 12 different countries.

Filled with music, a fast tempo, and plenty of humor, the musical depicts how people with entirely different lifestyles are able to resolve their differences through music.

'It shows two worlds, worlds that collide by chance. A beautiful girl who is full of talent, wants to be a singer, and is in love with a criminal. She ends up in a world totally different from her own.

And that girl, Deloris Van Cartier, does not fit in at first. But she eventually discovers the talent hidden inside the sisters. The Spanish-Cuban actress Belia Martin is the woman behind the miracle.

Deloris Van Cartier
'She finds herself in a situation where she enters a convent so that no one can see her. It is totally against her character. Instead of the convent calming her down, she makes them a little crazy. And finally she discovers she has a family. Despite being a strong woman, she was always lonely.

For a few days, the musical even featured a real nun. It was none other than Sister Cristina, an Italian nun famous for winning 'The Voice in her country.

'She is a person like any other, probably because she has a spiritual side, you do not notice you are dealing with a very famous person. She is very beautiful, it was like working with the other artists and singers in casting. It was at a very high level. The meeting with Cristina was very nice.

Sister Cristina carries out her vocation in a convent. But it certainly wasn't anything like the one featured in Sister Act.
