It's Christmas at the Vatican! And the most important events of the week will focus on the birth of Jesus Christ.

On Monday, December 21st, Pope Francis will greet cardinals and the Roman Curia for his traditional presentation of Christmas greetings.

On December 24th, Pope Francis will celebrate Midnight Mass at St. Peter's Basilica to mark Christ's birth. It is one of the most important Masses of the year.

Of course, the following day is Christmas. The Pope will appear on the central balcony in St. Peter's Square at noon. He'll deliver the traditional 'Urbi et Orbi blessing to pilgrims who gather to see him.

On Saturday, the day after Christmas, Pope Francis will lead the Angelus prayer at noon to mark the Feast of St. Stephen.

The following day, he will celebrate a Mass to mark the Jubilee of the Family. Families in attendance will walk through the Holy Door together.

And as he usually does, Pope Francis will finish his week with the Angelus prayer from the window of the study in the Apostolic Palace. Thousands of pilgrims will join him in St. Peter's Square.
