Lisa Brenninkmeyer, a mother of seven from Annapolis, Maryland, has struck a cord with women around the world. More than 10 years ago, Lisa noticed how many women in her community felt disconnected from their faith and were looking for a more personal encounter with Christ. This lack of community faith support is what led Lisa to found Walking with Purpose, a weekly woman's bible study program for women of all ages.
Lisa started small. The first meeting in September of 2002 had just eight women. They came together each week to discuss the Gospel of Mark in a supportive and authentic environment. By word of mouth, Lisa's program quickly grew. Today, Walking with Purpose is an international organization with 125 chapters.
Walking with Purpose is designed to help women learn more about their faith through personal application of Scripture and Church teachings.

Founder, Walking with Purpose
'At Walking with Purpose our desire is to create an atmosphere and provide materials that focuses all on God's heart. Like St. Therese, we long for women to know Christ's heart, to know his tenderness, to know his mercy, to know his love'.
Walking with Purpose's patron saint is St. Therese of Lisieux, a doctor of the Church. Looking to scripture and the saints, Lisa has written the numerous course materials and videos used by each chapter. She has even written book, Walking with Purpose, available online.

'We desire to meet women were they are, baggage and all, and gently introduce truths that can change their lives. Who better than St. Therese to help us along that path?â?
Walking with Purpose's simple and encouraging approach has transformed many lives and has been especially popular with millennials. Walking with Purpose now has chapters in the US, Canada, Italy, and Switzerland.
