Christmas is in full swing at the Vatican. Set up right next to the St. Peter's Square's giant Christmas tree, the  Vatican's life-like Nativity scene reminds tourists of the reason for the season.

'I like it, I think it's a nice reminder to Christians of Christmas, of where it all came from. It's quite large, it's pretty impressive in this setting. Just in general it's special to be here around Christmas time.

Nativity scenes are a Christmas tradition dating back many centuries and are found in countries all across the globe. People are grateful to see a strong testimony to the true meaning of Christmas.

'It's lovely, to see that the tradition still exists and that not only is Christmas for gifts and things like that, but also that the original Christmas, the Nativity scene, the Christ coming to the world still exists and is appreciated.â?

This intricate and detailed Nativity and Christmas tree display will continue to delight visitors to the Vatican throughout the Christmas season.
