Pope Francis met with members of the Romano Guardini Foundation and told them that the priest their organization is named after still 'has much to say to the people of our time, and not only Christians.â?
The group was in Rome to commemorate the 150th anniversary of his birth. Guardini was a noted theologian and writer whose writings helped explain the contribution of Christianity to society and culture.

'I am convinced that Guardini is a thinker who has much to say to the people of our time, and not only Christians. With your foundation you are moving this project forward, letting the thought of Guardini into a polyphonic dialogue with the spheres of politics, culture, and science today. I sincerely hope that this commitment is successful.â?
The president of the organization, Professor Ludwig von Pufendorf, also gave a speech in German and announced that a previously unpublished text by Guardini would soon be released.
