Every week, thousands of people manage to see Pope Francis in his weekly public audiences. Wherever the Pope is, attention follows. For those who follow the Pope's every day move, the perspective inevitably changes. A Pope whose actions, often speak louder than words.

'I was very intrigued by this. And I thought, it's something I have to tell. In a way it was also a way for me to understand Pope Francis even more. To understand everything I was experiencing, but couldn't really sort out.â?
Javier Martinez-Brocal is the news director of ROME REPORTS. He recently launched a book which translates to 'The Pope of Mercy.'
As he introduced the book, along with Madrid's Archbishop, Carlos Osoro Sierra, he highlighted that it sheds light on the every day actions of the Pope and the global impact they've triggered since the beginning of his pontificate.

'I think this book is the first publication that tries to go to the heart of the Pope. To show what's at the core and in his heart. It's a way to understand what he has done these years and what he's about to do.â?
The book includes stories that are often overlooked by the mass media. Stories that only those who are up close, get to see and experience. Like the time the Pope decided to unexpectedly visit a camp of immigrants as he was on his way to celebrate Mass in a nearby town.

'I thought there were a lot of people who weren't really understanding what Pope Francis was doing. They needed perspective and since we have the luck of following him quite closely, I wrote the book from the perspective I see day in and day out.â?
The book, which is in Spanish, will be launched in eight countries. From Spain to Latin America.
