Latin American Catholic TV producers are finding ways to increase their social impact

Managers and directors from 19 Catholic channels in 14 different countries met in Argentina to discuss two questions. First, they wanted to address how to improve the quality of Catholic programming. The second question focused on how to better their financial management and social impact.

Independent producers like ROME REPORTS also attended the conference.

'Inevitably we must improve the quality of the programs so that it can actually be appealing for ordinary people, especially those far from the Church, to watch a TV show with a Catholic orientation.�

The meeting was supported by the Vatican and the Latin American Episcopal Conference.

The president of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications suggested it's necessary for society to see the beauty of family. And that doesn't mean perfect family life.

The meeting was organized by SIPCATV, an international organization for producers and TV channels in Latin America.
