Preparations are underway for the 51st International Eucharistic Congress, which will take place in the Filipino island of Cebu.
On Tuesday, the top organizers spoke to the media, in the Vatican's press office, to shed light on some of the details.

The theme is 'Christ in You, our Hope of Glory, the Eucharist, source and goal of mission.'
So far, more than 8,000 pilgrims from 57 nations have signed up, but many more are expected, especially with rapid growth of Christianity in Asia.
The 51st International Congress, which will take place in the early stages of the Jubilee Year of Mercy, will include catechism, testimonies and of course Adoration.

'We've also had close communication with the Church in Dublin, since the last Eucharistic Congress was held there. We've been speaking with the heads as a point of reference.â?
Given the recent natural disasters the Phillippines has overcome, the gathering will surely touch on those experiences as well.

The next International Eucharistic Congress will run from January 24th to the 31st, 2016. Most of the celebrations and meetings will be held in English.
