In his Sunday Angelus, Pope Francis expressed his worry, with the rising violence in the Holy Land.
POPE FRANCIS
'With the current situation in the Middle East it is imperative to have peace in the Holy Land. This is what God wants for the good of humanity.â?
Hate and vengance cannot have the last word, he added. He then called on government leaders to act accordingly.
POPE FRANCIS
'At this very moment, there is great need for courage and strength to say 'no' to hate and 'no' to vengeance, opting for acts of peace instead. Let us pray, so that God can reinforce, in all of us, government leaders and citizens, the strength to oppose violence and move forward towards peace.â?
The ongoing tension between Israel and Palestine has erupted in more violence recently, resulting in the death of many citizens.
