LIVE: Pope Francis canonizes Junípero Serra

The Mass will be held in English, Spanish and Latin. Junipero Serra was a Franciscan Friar who evangelized in California. He also led the construction of many missions throughout the region. ;

He was beatified by John Paul II in 1988. ;
