From history, to saints and dogma, there's a lot to take in when learning about the Catholic faith. That's where this new podcast comes in. It's called Catholic Bytes and it's designed for busy Catholics on the go.

Catholic Bytes, Communications Co-Director
'The idea of Catholic bytes is that it's short, dynamic podcast about the faith. So if you have a 10 minute break during your day or if you're on a walk from work to lunch, then you can tune in then.'
Leslie Knopf is the Communications Co-director. The co-founders of Catholic Bytes are two American priests, Fr. George Elliot and Fr. Andrew Mattingly and also American Deacon-Greg Gerhart.
For about ten minutes or so, experts in the field discuss topics ranging from the theology of the body to Church history and examples about how saints lived out the faith. What better place to do that, that in Rome-the very heart of Christianity.

'Whether it be spirituality, dogma, morals and they thought, we have this resource here, so why don't we offer it to people in a way they can understand.'
So far the response has been great. The podcast, can be found online at catholicbytespodcast.com and it already has about 2,000 followers.

'Itâ??s a question and answer form, but more so, launching questions and then the guests are experts in their field... The host really guides the conversation, but it's very much the interviewees lead on the discussion.'
It also has a presence on I-tunes, Facebook and Twitter. The founders say it's all about the new evangelization, whether it be for devout Catholics or people who just want to learn more about the faith.
