Pedro Aguado is the Father General of the Piarist Order. He was re-elected a few weeks ago to lead the group, which was founded nearly 400 years ago.

In 1597, St. Joseph Calasanz founded the first European public school in Rome. The Piarist order has since expanded its work to more than 30 countries, as it helps create a more educated world one day at a time.
