Pope Francis is preparing for his coming trip to Cuba and the U.S., in late September, so his public events are somewhat limited this summer. ;
Even though the Vatican's schedule is not completely up to speed just yet, the Pope does have a few public events. ;
On Wednesday August 26th, at about 10 a.m, ;Pope Francis will lead his weekly general audience from the Vatican's Paul VI Hall. It's held indoors and not in St. Peter's Square, to escape Rome's intense summer heat. ;
Then, on Sunday August 30th, the Pope will pray the Angelus from his studio window overlooking St. Peter's Square, where thousands of pilgrims gather each week to pray along with him. ;
Once August is over, the Pope will resume his regular schedule, which includes celebrating a public morning Mass every weekday, in the Vatican's Casa Santa Marta. ;
