As the month of August continues, Pope Francis is keeping a low-key schedule. He has just two public appearances this week and is spending most of his time on preparation for an upcoming trip. ;
On Wednesday, August 19th, Pope Francis will lead his weekly general audience at the Vatican. The audience won't be held in St. Peter's Square, thanks to Rome's notoriously hot and humid August weather. Instead, it will take place indoors in the Paul VI Audience Hall at 10:00 a.m. Thousands of pilgrims are expected to attend.
Pope Francis is will remain in Vatican City until his next public event. He is busy preparing for his upcoming journey to Cuba and the United States. He will make several stops on the island nation before heading to Washington, New York, and Philadelphia.
On Sunday, August 23rd, the Pope will recite the Angelus prayer from his studio window, overlooking St. Peter's Square. Pilgrims from throughout the world will be in attendance to hear his address and receive a blessing from the Pope.
