For many years now, artists and tourists who see the masterpiece of architect Antoni Gaudi usually ask themselves one main question. When will the Sagrada Familia Basilica be finished? When Gaudi was asked this, he usually had a very direct response.

Another unfinished work is the process of beatification of the late architect. The President of the Association for the Beatification of Antoni Gaudí, Jose Manuel Almuzara, has spent 12 years working to make sure the Catalan architect is raised to the altars.

'We hope that he may be declared Venerable this year, 2015. It is also an important step for the Church to recognize Gaudí as a Holy man.â?
The process for beatification has been officially open since July 9th, 2003. The Congregation for the Causes of Saints is already discussing his case. Almuzara says the architect was brilliant, yet humble and simple.

'He said, first love and then technique. And he applied that in his life. He was a man who lived for his work and to see the smiles of his customers and employees. He felt like they were collaborators.â?
Now, the testimony of these workers and stonecutters is collected in a book 'Sagrada Familia: Gaudi Magnus Opus.â? Almuzara gave a copy to the Pope.
The edition includes spectacular photographs of the temple, unpublished images of the workshops and the workplace of his successor, the Japanese sculptor Etsuro Sotoo.
