It took five years to produce the film 'Little Boy,â? a story about love, self-improvement and family values. Actor and filmmaker Eduardo Verástegui is behind the project, which is a tale for adults but from the perspective of an eight-year-old child.

'He is a very special boy who has no friends. Everyone makes fun of him constantly and they make his life miserable at school. But he does not care. Why? Because he takes refuge in the love of his father, who is his best friend, his only friend, his partner.â?
However, the boy's father was sent to fight in World War II. Eventually, Japanese troops took him prisoner.
The film is about what the little boy is willing to do for his father, for his life and his family. It is a movie filled with values meant to inspire audiences.

Verástegui was able to meet with Pope Francis while in Rome. He gave the Pope a special Spanish-version of the film that was made just for him.

'I had an opportunity, a gift of God, to once again be with Pope Francis. I gave him a hug, said a few words, and gave him the film. I said that this film was a very important project that speaks about mercy and our faith, a faith that moves mountains.â?
The film is nearly 140 minutes long, and he said that it is a family experience. It opens on April 24th in the US and May 15th in Mexico. It will also be screened inside of prisons in both countries.
