The Showing Film Awards isn't a typical film contest. The competition specifically aims to get young people from throughout the world to promote understanding of universal human values through video. ;
Participants from more than 25 countries and 60 universities have submitted entries displaying their creative chops.
They were known as the Kerygma Awards until now. This year, there is a new name and a new challenge: the entries should focus on loyalty and human friendship. Hundreds of young people have already submitted their cinematic vision.
The winner will take home $6,000. The runners-up win $1,000 and $500.
Prizes will be awarded at the end of April, during a gala in Madrid, Spain.
