Pope Francis is spending just one day in Bosnia-Herzegovina, but it should be a busy one. On June 6th, he plans to deliver four speeches and a Homily, as well as meet with several groups.
After about an hour and a half flight from Rome, Pope Francis is expected to land in Sarajevo at 9:00 a.m.
Following a welcoming ceremony, he plans to visit the presidential palace and meet with local dignitaries.
The Pope is set to celebrate Mass at Olympic Stadium in Sarajevo, which can accommodate more than 37,000 spectators.
Priests, nuns, and seminarians will have the chance to meet the Pope at a cathedral in the city. The schedule then calls for an interreligious meeting at the Franciscan International Student Center. ;
After Pope Francis meets with young people at a youth center named for Saint Pope John Paul II, his final scheduled event is a farewell ceremony at the airport.
According to his itinerary, the Pope should land in Rome by 9:30 p.m.
