Pope Francis will return to his usual schedule of daily Masses with pilgrims at Casa Santa Marta this week.
On Monday, April 13th, the Council of Cardinals will begin its ninth meeting to discuss Roman Curia reform.
They will work with the Pope until Wednesday, April 15th. On that day, he will hold his weekly general audience in St. Peter's Square. Thousands of pilgrims are expected to attend.
Thursday marks the 88th birthday of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. It will be his third birthday since resigning the papacy.
The President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, will meet with Pope Francis at the Vatican on Saturday.
Sunday, April 19th, will be a special day for Benedict XVI, as well. It will be the 10th anniversary of his election. On April 19, 2005 Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger became the 265th Pope of the Catholic Church.
At midnight Sunday morning, Pope Francis will pray the Regina Coeli from the window of the Apostolic Palace in front of thousands of pilgrims.
