In a matter of days, tens of thousands of Christian minority groups were forced out of their homes by the Islamic State. They left everything behind- and these refugee camps became their new home. ;

Recently two California Congressmen introduced a bill to help these Christians and other religious minorities, that have been persecuted in Iraq and Syria. ;

If approved, it would give these groups priority in the U.S Refugee Admissions Program, and ultimately the possibility of relocating to the U.S. ;

The Protecting Religious Minorities Persecuted by ISIS Act, was introduced by two San Diego area legislators: Republican Duncan Hunter and Democrat Juan Vargas. The city actually has one of the largest Middle Eastern immigrant communities in the U.S. ;

In addition to threatening and killing Christians and other religious minorities, ISIS terrorists have also destroyed churches and worshiping sites. ;
