'We are preparing the calendar. But Pope Francis must approve it.â?
The Jubilee's chief organizer anticipates that it won't be a self-referential event. Rather, the Jubilee will function as an invitation to every Catholic to carry out concrete, merciful gestures.

Organizer, Jubilee of Mercy
'Christians will have to become instruments of mercy, witnesses of mercy, mercy agents. And not with words but with concrete actions.â?
All indications suggest that this jubilee will be filled with strong gestures. For instance, after speaking about the importance of seeking forgiveness from God, the Pope publicly went to confession.
Pope Francis will proceed with the official indiction on April 11th, the eve of the feast of Divine Mercy. He will deliver the official Bull of Indiction at the Holy Door in St. Peter's Basilica. The text will includes dates and explain what Catholics are expected to do in the Holy Year.
