On Monday, March 16, Pope Francis will meet with the Captains Regent of San Marino, Gian Franco Terenzi and Guerrino Zanotti. Every six months, the Republic of San Marino, Italy elects two Captains Regent to act as heads of state.
On the same day, the Pope will receive bishops from Bosnia Herzegovina for their 'ad liminaâ? visit. The meeting comes ahead of a papal trip to Sarajevo in June.
The Pope will hold his weekly general audience on Wednesday in St. Peter's Square. Thousands of pilgrims are expected to attend.
On Saturday, March 21, the Pope will travel to Naples and visit the Shrine of Pompeii. He will stop by a prison and have lunch with several inmates.
Pope Francis' week will end as it usually does: At noon on Sunday, he will pray the Angelus in St. Peter's Square.
