On Monday March 9th, Pope Francis will meet with the King and Queen of Belgium, Philippe and Mathilde. This is a highly anticipated visit, because the previously planned meeting ;for last December was postponed after the death of Queen Fabiola. It will be their first meeting with Pope Francis as King and Queen of Belgium.
During the week, the Pope will have several meetings with bishops from Korea during their ad limina visit.
As usual, Pope Francis will also greet thousands of pilgrims during his general audience in St. Peter's Square on Wednesday.
Friday March 13th marks the two year anniversary of his papacy. He will take confessions in St. Peter's Basilica during an important penitential ceremony.
Last year, the Pope surprised the world by confessing in public during the ceremony.
It was the first time that a Pope had gone to confession in front of others.
His week will end as it usually does. On Sunday, the Pope will pray the Angelus at noon in St. Peter's Square.
