The Pope will start off the week with a Lenten retreat, which means he will clear his schedule and won't lead any public events or meetings. It will be a week long retreat in the Italian town of Ariccia which is about 20 miles south of Rome. ;
The theme of the retreat is 'Servants and Prophets of the Living God' and the meditations will be led by Italian Carmelite, Bruno Secondin. ;
On Monday February 23rd, the head of the Greek Catholic Church in Ukraine, Major Archbishop Sviatoslav Shevchuk, will be in Rome to talk about the challenges the war has triggered for Ukrainians and for the Church. ;
On Thursday the 26th, the Centesimus Annus Foundation, will announce the winner of the Economy and Society award, which recognizes work that promotes the Social Doctrine of the Church. ;
On Friday 27th, the Pope will conclude his retreat at roughly 9: 30 a.m. and he will come back to Rome along with the Roman Curia. ;
