No marriage is perfect, and Catholic couples aren't immune to modern marital problems.

A new video program called 'Beloved aims to help couples strengthen their relationships whether they're already married or just beginning to prepare for the vocation.

DR. EDWARD SRI
Professor of Theology, Augustine Institute
'We want to be able to deliver what is the real vision of life, love, happiness, and marriage as early as possible.

Certainly, they have a difficult challenge. In the United States, for example, divorce rates among Catholic couples are about the same as those of secular ones.

The new program launched on Valentine's Day. It is meant to complement Pope Francis' focus on revitalizing marriage and family.

AUSTEN IVEREIGH
Catholic Author
'Just as society has woken up to the beauty of the planet, we need to reawaken to the ecology of marriage. And I think 'Beloved' is a wonderful way of doing that.

'Belovedâ? is a product of an academic institution. But many of those who created it are married themselves. The series' goal is to provide couples with realistic, relevant information.

TIM GRAY
President, Augustine Institute
'We want to renew the brand of marriage. And we want to show that this is the normative pathway for people to find happiness and to find love.

The 'Belovedâ? series was created by the Augustine Institute, which itself was founded in 2005.  The twelve-part video series is available in DVD and also online.
