Experts from 40 countries are meeting at the Vatican to showcase successful educational projects that help children.
These experts are part of the Scholas network, an educational initiative from Pope Francis that has already recruited 400,000 schools throughout the world.

This project lets children compete with students schools in other countries. The goal is to help educate them by creating a dialogue with others their age who belong to different cultural, religious and social realities.

Pope Francis will video conference with five disabled children, who live in other parts of the world, this Thursday. It will mark the launch of a new online tool: Scholas.Labs, which was created in partnership with Google, Microsoft and IBM.
