Almost everyone can recognize this face, but few know what he really does. Msgr. Guido Marini follows Pope Francis in all liturgical ceremonies he presides over.
He also worked for Benedict XVI, and was at the center of the world's attention as the conclave started.
Msgr. Marini is the Master of the Pope's Liturgical Celebrations. He turns 50 today. Born in Genoa, he is expert in Canon Law. Since 2007, he oversees all papal ceremonies and also deals with liturgical matters in the Church. His task may look way too practical, but has a lot of significance, as he told ROME REPORTS.
