Back in the XVII century, St. Joan of Lestonnac fought for a woman's right to have access to an education in France. She did a lot more than that.
She founded the Company of Mary Our Lady. The first Catholic Order to promote education specifically for females. This documentary tells her story.

Joan of Lestonnac was married and had seven children. When her husband died, she decided to dedicate her life to God and the poor. She volunteered quite a bit, but her passion was helping women.

The documentary which translates to 'Joan of Lestonnac: Do or Die, was released in Rome. The 85 minute peace also sheds light on how and why she founded the Company of Mary Our Lady.
