'I think that today all Cuban bishops will rejoice, because they could witness a moment they've been longed for for years.â?
But not just the Bishops are excited with all that's happening. All of Cuban society thinks the new changes are for the best.

'All the Catholics I've met since the announcement are visibly happy. As far as I know, none of them thought it was inconvenient. Quite the opposite.â?
Both Barack Obama and Raul Castro thanked Pope Francis for his help during the negotiations between the two countries. The Cuban bishops believe that a visit of Pope Francis to the island would give them the change of showing him their gratitude face-to-face.
