Following an old tradition, on Monday morning Pope Francis gave his Christmas greetings to the Roman Curia. What no other Pope had done before was meeting afterward all Vatican employees at the Paul VI Hall.
During Christmas, no pilgrims are allowed to attend the Pope's daily morning Mass at Casa Santa Marta. There won't be any general audience on Wednesday either. Still, on Christmas Eve, he'll celebrate Mass at the St. Peter's Basilica to celebrate the Birth of Jesus.
On Thursday 25 at noon, he will give the traditional Christmas message from the balcony of the basilica and the blessing 'Urbi et Orbi.â?
On Friday he is expected to pray the Angelus from the Apostolic Palace, as he usually does on Sundays.
In fact, on Sunday, he'll meet with a group of large families at the Vatican Paul VI Hall before praying the Angelus.
These are the second Christmas that Pope Francis celebrates as Pope, and just like he did last year, he'll stay at his official residence, Casa Santa Marta.
