Pope Francis met with the managing director the International Monetary Fund, Christine Lagarde, at the Vatican.
After a brief meeting, she introduced him to some members of her delegation.
As a gift, the Pope gave her a rosary and a medallion.

The managing director of the IMF has reportedly praised the Pope's calls against the growing inequality between the rich and the poor.
In fact just a week ago, she said she wanted to discuss some of the points he highlighted while speaking before the European Parliament.
Pope Francis walked her to the entrance, where they said goodbye in French.
