Pope Francis will address the European Parliament on November 25.
The mission of this institution is to represent all Europeans. The representatives are elected every five years.
It now represents 500 million European from 28 different countries.
The European Parliament has a legislative role, because it writes the 'laws' of the European Union. It also takes care of calculating a budget that affects all of its state members.
Pope Francis will travel to Strasbourg to address the parliament. Its President, Martin Schulz, who elected on January 2012 invited him and recently met with him. ;
