In his morning Mass at Casa Santa Marta, Pope Francis said that there are two paths that exist. One is of those attached to the letter of the law; the other is of those who love justice and fullfil the law of love.

POPE FRANCIS
'This is the path that Jesus teaches us, the complete opposite of the doctors of the law. And this path of the love of justice, brings us to God. Instead, the other path, of being attached to the law, to the words of the law, brings you to close yourself, to selfishness.

He also explained that one must not forget justice and love because following the letter of the law is no guarantee that good is done.

POPE FRANCIS
'This path of living attached to the law would bring them far from love and justice. They followed the law, but neglected justice. They followed the law, but neglected love. They were role-models: they were the role-models. And Jesus had a word for these people: hypocrites.

Pope Francis warned that those who followed this path close the doors to hope, to love and to salvation while the path of love and justice brings one to the meeting with Christ.
