The meeting between Pope Francis and the Prime Minister of Grenada was welcoming from the very start.

In a closed door meeting, the Pope and Keith Mitchel spoke on the aid that the Catholic Church provides on the Caribbean island, above all in education and social services.

Mitchell introduced the Pope to his wife and son, along with his mother.

'Nice to meet you.

Pope Francis gave the Grenadian Prime Minister a copy of his Apostolic Exhortation 'Evangelii Gaudium'.

He then gave a rosary to each family member.

 'Pray for me.â?

The island of Grenada has a population of 110,000. Approximately half are Catholics.
