Thousands of people gathered in St. Peter's Square to see the Pope lead the Angelus prayer.

Speaking from his studio window, the Pope explained that pointing out the mistakes of others is good. He went on the say that correcting one's neighbor is a service. But this he said, is far different from insulting.

POPE FRANCIS
'It's very unpleasant to see a Christian insult someone or be aggressive. It's not nice. Don't insult. Insulting isn't Christian. Understood? Insulting is not Christian.â?

Since Monday marks the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, the Pope gave a few tips on how to celebrate what he described as the birthday of Our Lady.

POPE FRANCIS
'Early in the morning, remember to honor Our Lady through our words and heart by saying: Congratulations! Pray a Hail Mary that comes from the heart of a son or daughter.â?

In light of the violence taking place in Iraq, the Pope also commended a group of 30 Red Cross volunteers who will help minorities and persecuted Christians housed in refugee camps.

POPE FRANCIS
'I want to express my appreciation for this generous and concrete mission. I bless all of you and all the other people who are looking for ways to concretely help our persecuted brothers and sisters.â?

The Pope also prayed for the African country of Lesotho, where the military has taken over in a coup, giving way to instability.

Once again he prayed for Ukraine, so that through dialogue a peace agreement may be reached.
