The Pope's weekly General Audiences are back on the Pope's August schedule. To escape the summer heat, they are being held at the Paul VI Hall, which means less space than  St. Peter's Square.

Many pilgrims have made a stop in Rome to catch a glimpse of the Pope. This group of scouts left their camp for one day to visit the Eternal City.

'My group comes from Belgium, but in fact we [represent] a group of Scouts from the whole world in Bassano Romano. We got an invitation and one representative of our group, already came from the Pope. He saw him, and we're getting back.

They came from their camp in the northern Italian province of Lazio for a chance to see the Pope up close. For many, its their first time in the Eternal City.

'We picked one day out of  our 10 day trip to visit Rome, to [get to] know Rome because we [have] never [visited], most of the people [have never] come here and so we want to see what Rome is.â?

They wore their best uniform at the Vatican:  multi-colored scarves, hats, and emblems embroidered with their Scout Emblem.

And although the summer heat of Rome caught them by surprise, they went along their way, happy to have attended the first audience in August.
