On Sunday, September 21, Pope Francis is planning on visiting Albania. The Vatican released his schedule, already packed with events.
Pope Francis will spend 14 hours in the Muslim-majority nation. He will leave Rome at 7:30AM. After his arrival in the capital, Tirana, he will meet with the country's leaders at the Presidential Palace.
At 11AM, the Pope will preside Mass and pray the Angelus at Mother Teresa Square.
After Mass, he will have lunch with Albanian bishops, and will also meet with leaders of other Christian Churches.
In the afternoon, the Pope will have two other audiences. At 5PM, he will lead the Vespers at St. Paul's Cathedral in Tirana. Then, at 6:30PM, he will meet with children at the Bethany Christian Services, an organization that takes in orphans and children in challenging family situations. ;
At 8PM, Pope Francis will return to Rome, and is expected to arrive at about 9:30PM.
